Change

A few months ago I asked for your help. With some slightly silly but mostly serious criteria, I asked for your ideas of types of careers that would meet my needs. While you were nice enough to offer helpful feedback, I still needed to determine my who, what, where, when and how. While I’ve had these dreams of working for a magazine company, I realize that it is a bit harder and unlikely a career path given my circumstances. So, I had to start thinking about my passions – what put a smile on my face, what things did I really enjoy doing, what moments made me yearn for a little more. Little did I realize, it was kicking me in the butt almost everyday…

I love exercise! I love challenging my body! I love learning about foods and nutrition! And, I love sharing those things with others. What better way to use my passion than to help others in their quest to live a healthy balanced life style. With that being said, (drum-roll please) I’m going to become a personal trainer and group fitness instructor.

I feel excited about my new adventure. So much so, that I quickly registered for my first certification classes – CPR and First Aid – and am pleased to let you all know that I am now capable of saving your life… the right way. Next, I will need to take classes and tests to get my fitness certifications. And, I’m even going to go the extra mile to get a nutritionist certification. I’m hoping by having all these certifications, it will open the door for multiple opportunities. I can’t wait to see what the future will have in store for me.

I saw this quote on another blog, and decided it will be my motto:
